Visiting Budapest

We made a visit to Budapest to make a story for the Swedish beer magazine Maltesen , the organ for the Swedish Beer Association.

We met brewers from the most popular craft breweries in Hungary; Monyo Brewing, Mad Scientist brewing, Dealbreaker, Horizont as well as a few smaller breweries like Parabolic Lazarus Brewery.

The result of our work will be published in Maltesen in late september 2022. After our common visit, Jonathan continued to Latvia and Slovenia for further interviews and stories.

The visit to Slovenia and Latvia was to include material for Maltesen as well as to publish independent articles for other blogs and medias. Jonathan published a wine guide to Ljubljana for Freedomtravel.se.

Brewers from Tektonik craft brewery and Loo-Blah-Nah craft brewing was interviewed in Ljublijana. The interview with the Andrej Sluga, the president of Slovenian Brewers Associastion took place online. In Latvia, it was interviews with staff representing Labietis craft beer and Valmiermuiza craft brewery along with many others. The material will generate a couple of articles during August and September.

A beer guide to Albania, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia was published on Abu Dhabi Beer Man in English. A longer 10 page version was printed in the Swedish magazine Maltesen which is the organ for Swedish Beer Consumers Association. It was the main story covering 10 of 48 pages in the magazine.

The first double page of the story, going through the most important craft breweries in each country

The story highlighted on the front page with the title “Balkan briljerar” which can be translated to Balkan Excels. Last page about Dubrovnik did also mention how to get there, prices and accomodation.
